American Citizen Scifala Musulid Killed in West Bank Attack — No Arrests Made
Scifala Musulid, an American, was killed by Israeli settlers three weeks ago as he was visiting relatives in the West Bank from Florida. The attack occurred outside the town of Ramallah, where eyewitnesses say he was brutally assaulted.
According to his family, Scifala was visiting relatives when the incident unfolded. His brother, seeing that he was not breathing, immediately called for an ambulance. However, Israeli settlers reportedly blocked the road for over three hours, preventing medical help from reaching him. An Israeli ambulance on-site allegedly refused to take an alternate route, resulting in his death on Palestinian soil.
Another man — a Palestinian — was also killed in the same attack.
Despite multiple eyewitness accounts, including testimonies from some Israeli citizens contradicting the official narrative, Israeli authorities claim Scifala initiated the confrontation. No arrests have been made, and the Israeli government has formally closed the case.
The U.S. government has also refrained from commenting, citing “respect for the family’s privacy.” However, Scifala’s relatives have stated repeatedly that they want the truth discussed openly and publicly.
In a final act of defiance against what they see as injustice, Scifala’s family in Tampa, Florida, traveled to the West Bank for his funeral. His Palestinian relatives were reportedly denied visas to attend services in the U.S.
The tragedy has sparked outrage among human rights advocates, who say the incident highlights broader issues of accountability and justice in the region.
