Leandro Lo dead at 33

Jiu-Jitsu World Champion Leandro Lo killed in Brazil

 Jiu-Jitsu fighter Leandro Lo has been shot dead at a concert in Sao Paulo, Brazil, according to reports.

A lawyer for the Brazilian jiu-jitsu world champion confirmed his client, 33, had died 

The killing allegedly occurred during a confrontation between Lo and police officer Henrique Otávio Oliveira Veloz

Witnesses observe the suspect, Henrique Ottavio Oliveira Velozzo, trying to grab a bottle from Lou's table, before Lou confronts him and takes him downstairs.

MMA Fighting reports that after the couple broke up, Velozo reportedly pulled out a gun and shot Lo in the forehead.

Lo was dominant in the sport of Jiu-Jitsu since 2011.  He won eight World Championships,

eight Pan American Championships and five World Cup gold medals. His most recent title was the 2022 World Championship in California.
