Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate the Homi Bhabha Cancer Hospital and Research Centre at 2:15 pm today in Mohali.

Tata Memorial Centre, an aided institute under the Centre's Department of Atomic Energy, developed the hospital for roughly Rs 660 crore.

According to a PMO announcement, the Homi Bhabha Cancer Facility is a tertiary hospital with a capacity of 300 beds that offers treatments including as surgery, radiotherapy, chemotherapy, immunotherapy, and bone marrow transplant.

The hospital will act as a "hub" of cancer care and treatment, with the 100-bed hospital in Sangrur serving as a "spoke" in the region.

Prime Minister Modi also tweeted, "At roughly 2:15 p.m., the Homi Bhabha Cancer Hospital and Research Hospital will be dedicated." Located in Mohali, will become a regional cancer care centre.

The hospital will be equipped with 2,600 beds and is being constructed at a cost of Rs 6,000 crore.
